The area is well known for its agriculture and farming, outstanding wineries, and scented sandalwood. Nearby Mount Barker are excellent hiking trails in the Stirling Ranges including Bluff Knoll the tallest mountain in Southern W.A..The Porongurup National Park with its quaint village style townsite, is on the doorstep of Mount Barker with boutique wineries and a short hiking trail (around 35 mins) to Castle Rock (570m) with its world class viewing platform. Walkers to the various peaks are well rewarded with panoramic views of farmlands to the coast. The idyllic coastal town of Denmark with its pristine beaches and forests is a short drive from Mount Barker or Albany. Walpole and the famous Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk is 40 minutes from Denmark. The Albany Convict Gaol and Patrick Taylor Cottage (the States oldest surviving dwelling) are well worth a visit. says the app has been disabled and set to inactive. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but, same thing. Completely unusable but is disappointing.
